A neat tweed jacket with a stand collar, nipped waist and a short peplum, buttoned all the way down with jewel-like buttons, worn over a long, narrow midi skirt. It is the most grown-up thing in the wardrobe and somehow the most fun: wear the two together for a wedding or a board meeting, or split them and wear the jacket over jeans.
