A summer afternoon on clay, seen from above.

The red dust, the long rallies, the hush before a serve. The Terre Battue looks down on a clay court from high overhead: a slab of terracotta red, a single ochre band for the net, a handful of tiny figures mid point. Up close, the thick oil paint is all ridges and sculpted texture; from across the room, the match is still in progress.

Painted to order and supplied rolled, unframed.

Hand-painted in oil on canvas, not printed, with thick, sculpted paint you can see and feel. Each piece is painted to order, so texture and detail will vary slightly from the image shown, making every canvas unique.

Every canvas is painted to order rather than produced in bulk, so nothing is made until it has a home.

Supplied rolled and unframed, without a stretcher frame. Frames shown are for styling only. We recommend having the canvas stretched or framed by a local framer; a float frame without glass shows the textured surface best.

On arrival, unroll the canvas carefully on a clean, flat surface, painted side up. Hang away from direct sunlight, damp and radiators. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush, and never use water or cleaning products on the painted surface.

Painted to order and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
