Look long enough, and it looks back.

Some paintings announce themselves. The Visage takes its time. Oxblood, ochre, cobalt and chalk white meet in loose, interlocking planes, held together by a fine black line that wanders across the surface. At first it reads as pure abstraction; then, somewhere between one glance and the next, an eye appears, a mouth, a profile turned away.

Hand-painted in oil on canvas, not printed. Each piece is painted to order, so brushwork, texture and colour will vary slightly from the image shown, making every canvas unique.

Every canvas is painted to order rather than produced in bulk, so nothing is made until it has a home.

Supplied rolled and unframed, without a stretcher frame. We recommend having the canvas stretched or framed by a local framer. A slim black, natural oak or walnut float frame suits it well.

On arrival, unroll the canvas carefully on a clean, flat surface, painted side up. Hang away from direct sunlight, damp and radiators. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth, and never use water or cleaning products on the painted surface.

Painted to order and dispatched within 7 to 10 days. Each canvas is shipped rolled in a protective tube.
